Each year, the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association purchases a few dozen bikes, along with helmets and accessories, to donate to Children’s Hospital, providing gifts for distribution to patients and families.  For many years, we have assisted in this endeavor by getting the bikes at the lowest possible cost and donating our labor time to assemble the bikes.

We had 12 people helping to build 41 bikes in just over two hours, including breaking down the boxes and packing the delivery van.  Also joining the party were John Chase, and Glenna and Bo Donegan from the Colorado Defense Lawyer's Association (CDLA), who also graciously provided pizza and beer!

The Snow Pile is a two-day event where parents of Children's Hospital patients can pick out gifts for the kids to put under the tree on Christmas.  The first day of the event is for parents of outpatient children, and the second day is for inpatient children and parents under financial strain who might not be able to purchase presents for Christmas.

We delivered the bikes Tuesday December 20 with the help of Wesley from Pro Bike Express.

All the elves at Children's Hospital were ready to help withe the load-in.

Tia, Wayne and DJ from WRC and Wesley from PBE call this one a wrap -- Happy Holidays!
